CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN (2012)

Grand Gift Ideas was the 2012 Penguin Christmas campaign that reached across print, online and social. The brief was to promote books making great gifts, showing you’ve taken the time to think about the person receiving them a gift, and that they’ll be treasured and ‘leave a lasting impression’.

Working with renowned paper engineer Benja Harney who created three stunning art deco inspired motifs/stages. The golds and silvers were used create a luxurious experience to engage consumers and showcase the Penguin Christmas titles. Photographer Rob Palmer captured the beautiful scenes, and behind the scenes video footage.

ROLE

Collaborating with the Art Director, Anthony Grima this involved project and time management, and collaborating with the photographer and paper engineer to meet a tight schedule. I was responsible for concepts, mood board, scamping logo, logistics and organising books for photo-shoot, editing of behind-the-scenes video, creating a suite of icons for online gift selector, designing high profile magazine advertisements (Good Weekend, Sunday Life, AWW etc)
